The Gamecocks took the field Friday in what will be the final weekend of spring scrimmages leading into the 2020 season.
RHP Carmen Mlodzinski and RHP Brett Kerry have solidified themselves as the Friday and Saturday starters respectively, as both guys went five innings today in preparation for next weekend.
Both guys looked good and the stuff was sharp, which should excite fans about both of their prospects for this season.
LHP RJ Dantin, RHP Graham Lawson and RHP Danny Lloyd each finished out the scrimmage, throwing an inning a piece.
Lloyd has established himself as the closer in my mind and Lawson will be a major piece in the backend.
Meanwhile, Dantin is a lefty with really good stuff who is still developing. However, I expect him to help USC a ton this season.
At the plate, Brennan Milone is a guy who continues to impress at the plate. He added a two RBI double to his spring stats today and looks the part of a big time SEC infielder.
What I thought was interesting was to see him at shortstop today, where he made some really nice plays and could play there if needed.
Anthony Amicangelo is a guy who has looked really good over the last two weekends and is someone I could see challenging for the DH role.
The two Noah’s, Campbell and Myers, both had solid days as well. Campbell looked as comfortable at the plate as I’ve seen in quite some time.
Meanwhile, I still fully expect Noah Myers to be USC’s starting center fielder and leadoff man next Friday.
Andrew Eyster also was a highlight of the day, as he launched a ball into the visiting bullpen.
Andrew Eyster belts one into the visitors bullpen for a two run bomb.

I fully expect Eyster to have a breakout year in 2020.
