South Carolina finalized their 2020 recruiting class Thursday night with Jordan Burch officially signing.
Kudos to Will Muschamp for bringing in a solid recruiting class. Plus, holding onto a lot of these guys after a disappointing season. I hope this translates to more wins on the field. Well done Boom.

The Gamecocks added 5 signees in the past few days and helped solidify an already great class. Here are the new Gamecock signees:
- ZaQuandre White – RB
- Ger-Cari Caldwell – WR
- Gilber Edmond – DE
- Alex Huntley – DL
- Jordan Burch – DL
I touched on what I thought about ZaQuandre White and how I felt he can contribute.
I think Will Muschamp deserves a lot of credit for putting this class together.
He was able to hold onto a lot of these guys and even had a surprise flip when Edmond signed Wednesday. Muschamp was able to do this after a very disappointing season and uncertainty surrounding his future.
I don’t think anyone questions Muschamp’s recruiting ability and they certainly shouldn’t after this class.
The biggest thing for him is this: can this translate into more wins on the field?
This is his fourth real class (not counting his 2016 haul after he was hired), so these are all his guys.
He has brought in a good bit of talent and added to it this year.
He brought in a highly rated Quarterback in Luke Doty and completely replenished the running back room with Marshawn Lloyd, Rashad Amos, and now White.
This is the second consecutive year he has hauled in a highly talented defensive lineman from this state (Zacch Pickens and Burch).
South Carolina has enough talent to be very competitive next season. There are a lot of immediate contributors in this class alone.
I think Lloyd and White will make a great duo and will be utilized more in the passing game.
I look for Burch and Huntley to factor into the defensive line rotation immediately.
The Gamecocks need playmakers at receiver and there are plenty of guys that will get that opportunity.
The main thing Gamecock fans want to see is progress.
This recruiting cycle has revitalized hope in a lot of fans after the dismal end of last season.
Now, Muschamp must translate this to winning next season. But for now, well done Boom.
