Former South Carolina wide receiver Bryan Edwards has once again been at the hand of injury.
A few days ago, Edwards announced on Twitter that he had broken his foot preparing for the NFL combine, which will preclude him from participating in any drills.
Not only will Edwards be missing the combine, but he will most likely miss his pro day that is scheduled on the 19th of March.
Edwards was in good spirits and isn’t letting this recent injury be the downfall or crutch that hinders his chances for the NFL.
Edwards posted this note from his phone to Twitter:

Before the injury, Edwards was a fast-rising stock in the draft and had been projected as a possible day two prospect.
However, as the injury has occurred, it is more likely that Edwards will now fall to at least a day three pick in the 2020 draft.
He is still listed by Sports Illustrated as the #14 WR in the 2020 NFL draft, which was last updated the 12th of February just before the injury.
The entirety of the Gamecock nation is pulling for this young man and we hope for a fast recovery so we can watch #89 get back to work and show the NFL what he’s got.
He is no stranger to adversity fighting through his season-ending knee injury to get back into shape for this combine, so I have no doubt he will get back as quickly as possible.
