Former Gamecock Chris Silva was traded to the Sacramento Kings in an attempt for the Heat to solidify their bench.
Chris Silva was a piece of the package sent to Sacramento for the Miami Heat to acquire Nemanja Bjelica. The veteran is an attempt to further solidify their talented bench to make another playoff-if not-championship run.

Chris Silva has been out a lot of this season but has been a really great and talented young player. Silva has been able to show out in his limited minutes for the Heat, so the Kings will benefit from picking up Silva. Silva
Chris Silva will likely be a much bigger piece of the Kings game plan since they don’t have that many talented forwards. With Marvin Bagley III not developing the way the organization wanted, the Kings can actually utilize Silva’s talents. The Kings have a fairly open Power Forward position, so Silva can possibly win himself a starting spot in Sacramento.
The Sacramento Kings brought in some good young talent with Chris Silva and hopefully the Gamecock will get some viable minutes.
