Takeaways From Gamecocks Women’s Basketball’s Hard Fought Road Victory At Kentucky

The South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball team hit double digits in their winning streak against Kentucky on Thursday night.

Aliyah Boston led the team in victory with 15 rebounds and 14 points. The entire team fought hard on the road and wasn’t going to give up another loss.

In the second half, South Carolina went 6 minutes without scoring but came back playing extremely aggressively to shoot an immediate three by Zia Cooke in the third quarter.

When watching the Carolina women’s basketball team, it’s noticeable how well they work together. Their camaraderie is shown at every point of the game and I believe that’s why they are so consistent in winning.

Compared to Kentucky, Carolina players out-shined them in their own court.

Boston hit her 16th double double in the fourth quarter and was an absolute beast throughout the entire game. With contribution across the Gamecock roster, each player scored at least a point to solidify a win against Kentucky.

South Carolina will be back to playing on their home court on February 17th. In the meantime, I look forward to watching them destroy Georgia on Sunday!
