Top Three Questions For The Gamecocks Offense This Spring

Note:  Early last week, I predicted the South Carolina Gamecocks to win seven ball games next year, not including the bowl game.

While 7-5 does not seem like a “great” season, you must keep in mind how hard of a schedule we play.

With this said, the biggest storyline out of spring ball is obviously the transition of quarterback play, from mediocrity to elite arm talent.

Also, the running back room is appearing to be as elite as everyone thought it would be with the addition of key guys at that position. Adding depth from the portal along with having returners like Lloyd and Juju make an interesting dynamic.

Here are my 3 biggest Questions about the offense after week 1 of spring ball.

What’s Rattler’s Impact On The Offensive Scheme?

Note: From what we have heard and seen, I would assume they are sticking with Satt’s offense with an addition of plays to better utilize Rattler’s skillset.

What’s Jaheim Bell’s Ceiling This Fall?

I love this guy and I truly expect him to have an absurd year both at TE, WR, and maybe some RB. We saw the explosiveness last year, but will he be able to improve during this spring to truly become Rattler’s possible number 1 WR. We need Jaheim to be the elite talent we expect him to be next year, and that starts in the Spring, building that connection with Rattler. Satt already stated he plays like the great Deebo Samuel, which is saying a lot.

“Throw It To The Tight End More”

Wells Jr, Josh Vann, Austin Stogner, and Jaheim Bell are YOUR guys during spring ball. They are your best weapons on the outside and we already know this. However, which guys who may be deeper in the WR depth chart will step up and start competing for serious play time. It will be interesting.
